noradio - musicplaylists by alex

This one is dedicated to Michi and Anja who are just travelling through California like I did one year ago. It was the greatest travel ever. I listened to the Gipsy Kings on the way to Las Vegas and to Weezer in Beverly Hills. The Katy Perry song was played everywhere: in bars, hotels, restaurants, on the street, on the radio. So it has to be on this playlist, too.

We hired this white limo to get to our wedding party and of course we brought our own playlist. We wanted to rock. Inspired by Barney Stinsons “Get psyched”- playlist it shouldn’t rise and fall, like people think. It should be all rise, baby! The driver really loved us, because we were the first group, which didn’t want to listen to Lady Gaga and stuff like this. So he had fun headbanging with us. Shot through the heart!!!

This is the second part of the almost eight hours long wedding playlist. It was a great party, although I  spontaneously decided not to play “Umbrella”. I hope our best man will forgive me some day…

I’m starting my noradio playlist project with a playlist I made for my wedding. It was a neverending process of finding songs, deleting them, putting them back again, changing the order over and over again… I wanted to have a perfect tracklist for this special day. It wasn’t easy to mix diffrent music styles, so that every guest would enjoy it. We had about 100 guests: friends, teenagers, children, “adults” and there had to be songs everyone knew, but not the boring ones, you hear at every party. And it worked very good, I think. The guest liked it and had fun. So I want to share that list with you. Maybe you can use it for your wedding party as well.
